A baseline

After a fair amount of work setting up this journal (or blog, whatever you want to call it). I thought it might be a good idea to establish a base by answering a few basic questions:
Who are we?
Why is this here?
What is the content?
When will this be updated?

Who are we?
We are a small family living in the suburbs of Nashville, TN. Jeremy, Alex, Ian and Clara are our names. We’ve established ourselves in the community of Mt Juliet since 2013. Alex and I both live and work very close to home which gives us the ability to focus on our family. We enjoy being together and taking adventures as a family.

Why is this here?
The older I get the faster time seems to move. For that reason, I’ve decided to commit to writing down events that we do as a family. This serves two purposes.
1. It acts as a journal so that we can look back at adventures we’ve shared.
2. It gives us a platform to share with our friends and family what’s going on in our lives.
Personally, I hate social media. I don’t like 140 characters of word vomit. I want to share the details of our adventures. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, I think a picture with words is more powerful than without.

What is the content?
The content varies. I primarily intend to share stories about adventures we take as a family. However, I’m also considering using this as a platform to share thoughts on religion, politics, and technology. Above all things, I want to communicate clearly, truthfully and accurately.

When will this be updated?
That’s a great question and depends on a variety of factors. I’d like to write a post for any adventure we take as a family. This could be daily, weekly or even monthly. As for other posts (of the religious, political or technical nature), those could happen anytime.
